Pana Institute of Undergraduate Studies
The Onam celebration in Pana institute of Undergraduate studies was held on the 6th of September 2019 amidst great cheer and cultural extravaganza. The event was attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff of the college and UG students. There was ‘Onapookalam’ competition for all the batches. A very colourful pookalam was laid at the Atrium of the college by the UG students.
The cultural programme began at 11AM. The master of ceremony was Ms. Rosemin Shaji Joseph and Mr. Dinesh Kumar of B.Sc. FND. The programme included thiruvathira, group and solo songs. A small note on history of Onam celebrations was given by Ms. Neha B and Mr. Ananthu Venu Gopal, students of UG. By 12:30 pm the massive ‘Onasadhya’ was served for the staff and students in the college dinette. The sadhya received much acclaim for its variety and taste.
There were competitions held in the afternoon which had staff and students participating in a high spirit. They included ‘Ori adi’ (pot breaking), green chilly eating and bottle filling. After the competition, refreshments were served. The celebration ended with a DJ for students to dance which saw great energy.
